SOMETHING SPECIAL is Korea’s first creativity-based global content company specializing in the TV format business – the planning, production and distribution of formats. We turn intellectual property (entertainment, factual and drama) into a reproducible content “recipe” that can be licensed, co-produced and localized across borders. Acting both as a creator of original, global-oriented format IP and as a distributor that connects Korean creators and producers to the world, we run a one-stop, end-to-end format business. To date we have developed 42 original format IPs and recorded 51 overseas format exports across more than 40 territories. In 2025 we were named a Global Top 100 Producer and a Top 10 Format Company by RealScreen, the leading international non-scripted content community.
